Assoc. Prof. Georgi Georgiev
Leading researcher Research interests in the application of surface chemistry techniques and statistical analysis to study the dynamic interfacial properties of biofluids and biofilms. The goal is to use these data for understanding the molecular scale mechanisms of the sample functionality and to apply it for early prediction of their dynamic evolution.

Department of Optics and spectroscopy Research topics: in Biophysics and Biochemistry for the assessment of pathological effects in patients with a variety of chronic and acute conditions, incl. children. She has specialized in the areas of oxidative stress, nutritional supplements and antioxidants, drug evaluation, combinations and their side effects. In the project she will assess the microbiological contamination of waters as well as the expected pathological effects of some contemporary pollutants.
