At the latest meeting of the Academic Council, Prof. Dr. Rumyana Dzhingova-Kostadinova from the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy was awarded the Honorary Badge "St. Kliment Ohridski" with a blue ribbon for her outstanding achievements in teaching and research. Prof. Dzhingova-Kostadinova received the award from the Vice-Rector of Sofia University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Georgi Vylchev.

Prof. Dzhingova is a leading researcher at the Centre of Competence "Clean Technologies for a Sustainable Environment – Water, Waste, Energy for a Circular Economy" (Clean&Circle). The centre's team congratulates her on this well-deserved recognition and wishes her health and strength for new scientific discoveries!

Prof. Dzhingova-Kostadinova expressed her gratitude for the recognition, stating that it beautifully and officially marks the culmination of her creative path and career. She said that working at Sofia University has given her the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues who are not only like-minded but also friends. She extended special thanks to her mentors, Prof. Ivelin Kulev and Prof. Dimitar Todorovski.

"Looking back, I want to say one thing – what matters today are not scientometric indicators, publications, citations, courses, or anything else. What truly matters, and what I value greatly, is that throughout all these years I have experienced immense joy in the work I have done. And for me, that is the most important result," said Prof. Dzhingova. She added that she believes she has made a contribution to the future, a contribution owed to her doctoral students, who are now habilitated at the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy.
