Clean&Circle will once again participate in the Sofia Science Festival. From May 11 to 14, our experts will be at Sofia Tech Park, where they will share more about research and innovation in environmental protection, sustainable development, and the circular economy. Clean&Circle will be part of the festival’s demonstration booth, one of the largest events dedicated to science and technology in Bulgaria.
The center’s partners from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences will be among the most active participants at this year’s festival. On May 11, they will present technologies for processing RDF fuel, which contribute significantly to environmental protection and the production of eco-fuels. They will also share their innovative technology for producing activated carbon from apricot kernels. This waste material can aid in wound healing and has the potential for broader applications in medicine.

On Friday, May 12, visitors to the Sofia Science Festival will learn more about the properties of therapeutic waters in Bulgaria. A team from the Institute of Organic Chemistry with the Centre of Phytochemistry at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences will present their findings from studies of mineral waters in the municipality of Velingrad. Later that same day, scientists from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and the University of Forestry will present their joint project on fertilizer production. These technologies can improve crop yields, reduce the use of chemical fertilizers, and minimize waste from food production.
Over the weekend shift, leading chemists from Clean&Circle will take part. A team from the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" will bring a full set of flasks and laboratory vessels to demonstrate various experiments to visitors.
The Sofia Science Festival is a great opportunity for attendees to explore the latest scientific achievements and get answers to their questions from scientists and specialists from diverse fields.
