Project

“Clean technologies for sustainable environment – waters, waste, energy for circular economy“ (Clean&Circle) for creation and development of a Centre of Competence

On August 29–30, 2022, at Sofia Tech Park, Bulgaria, the “8th Conference of the Black Sea Countries” was held, organized by the İKSAD Institute, Turkey, and the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

The aim of the conference was to raise awareness at both national and regional levels about the protection of the Black Sea, to strengthen communication within the scientific community in the region, and to integrate the work of researchers across interdisciplinary topics.

More than 70 scientists from leading research organizations in Bulgaria and Turkey took part in the conference in Sofia. In addition, over 200 researchers from 20 countries joined 17 online sessions organized by the İKSAD Institute.

The conference in Sofia was opened by Prof. DSc Pavlina Dolashka and Dr. K. Adilbekova from the İKSAD Institute, who presented a commemorative plaque to the organizers from IOCCP-BAS.

The first day of lectures in Sofia was dedicated to the National Research Programme “Innovative Low-Toxic Bioactive Substances for Precision Medicine (BioActiveMed)”. Participants in the programme presented their results as well as the advanced equipment available to them.

The second day was dedicated to the project BG05M2OP001-1.002-0019: “Clean Technologies for Sustainable Environment – Water, Waste, Energy for a Circular Economy” (Clean & Circle).
