In September, Velingrad hosted the international conference "Pure Nature for Health," organized by the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) within the framework of the Clean&Circle project. The conference was also made possible thanks to the cooperation of Velingrad Municipality and the active support of the local authorities.

The "Pure Nature for Health" conference was a truly international event that brought together scientists, experts, and practitioners from various fields in an intensive scientific discussion. Over the two plenary days, participants delivered presentations on new scientific research, shared technological innovations, and discussed practical solutions for improving quality of life through environmental protection.

It is important to note that the Mayor of Velingrad Municipality, Kostadin Koev, supported the organization and successful realization of this forum. He provided the necessary infrastructure and venue, making the city a suitable host for this important event in the Clean&Circle scientific calendar. The conference was opened with a plenary lecture by Prof. Dr. Pavlina Dolashka from BAS, who was responsible for presenting the key themes and objectives of the event. Her energy and passion for topics related to nature and health inspired many young researchers and contributed to the successful course of the conference.

The "Pure Nature for Health" event was not only a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience but also a platform for launching new initiatives and partnerships. We hope that the ideas presented during the conference will continue to inspire action for environmental protection and for integrating scientific discoveries into business practices.

In addition to the successful participants and organizers, the "PURE NATURE FOR HEALTH" conference was honored by the presence of a number of official guests, who contributed to the prestige and significance of the event. Among them were Krasimir Valchev, Chair of the "Committee on Education and Science" in the National Assembly; Prof. Dr. Galin Tsokov, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria; and Prof. DSc Georgi Vaysilov, Executive Director and Head of the Executive Agency "Education Programme" – the managing authority of the Operational Programme "Science and Education for Smart Growth." The presence of these key figures in education and science highlighted the importance of the conference and its support for the sustainable integration of knowledge and nature conservation.
