My name is Dobril Zhekov Valchev and I am a water supply, sewerage, and wastewater treatment engineer. I completed my Master’s degree at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Geodesy (UACEG) in 2016. In July of this year, I successfully defended my PhD dissertation on the topic “Algae-Based Technologies for Wastewater Treatment,” also at UACEG. At present, I work as a young researcher on the project “Clean Technologies for Sustainable Environment – Water, Waste, Energy for Circular Economy” (Clean&Circle). I am also engaged in design activities in the water supply and sewerage sector.

From October 5th to 8th, at Spa Hotel Kleptuza, Velingrad, a scientific conference "Ecological Products for Health" was held. The organizers of the event are the National Scientific Program “Innovative Low-Toxic Biologically Active Substances for Precision Medicine,” funded by the Ministry of Education and Science, and the Center of Competence "Clean&Circle".

On July 16, 2020, the World Café for a Green Restart was held online with the participation of experts from the Center of Competence "Clean&Circle".

On June 29, 2020, the guest in the studio of the show “Summer with BNT” was Prof. Yana Topalova, coordinator of the Center of Competence "Clean&Circle".
