Today, students from the Ecology program at the University of Forestry visited the Faculty of Biology at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.” The visit aimed to provide hands-on training for the students from the University of Forestry in water treatment technologies. Associate Professor Irina Schneider explained in detail how a municipal wastewater treatment plant operates, the most important microbial communities involved in biological water treatment, and the key parameters for process control.

The Clean & Circle Competence Center actively participates in the development of new educational programs and lectures at Sofia University. The proposed courses, including both bachelor's and master's programs, not only provide students with essential theoretical knowledge but also introduce them to practical skills necessary for success in their professional careers.

The Clean & Circle Competence Center, together with the Department of General and Applied Hydrobiology, celebrated World Water Day 2024 under the motto "Water for Peace." This year, our focus was on the youngest – children, pupils, and students. The event included participation in a science-popularization study of various types of water by students. During the event, the best drawings in each category of the Clean & Circle Drawing Contest were awarded. Drawings selected through online voting were also recognized. This year, on the occasion of World Water Day (March 22), the Clean & Circle Competence Center organized a Children's Drawing Contest on the theme "WATER FOR PEACE".
